Product name Shell GTL Sarawax SX70S Product category Synthetic Paraffin Wax Description Shell GTL Sarawax SX70S (also known as SX70S) is a synthetic paraffin wax consisting of linear alkane molecules polymerized from natural gas via Fischer-Tropsch synthesis. Being essentially an alkane material, Shell GTL Sarawax SX70S is stable and shows a good resistance towards oxidation. It can however be functionalized if required. Shell GTL Sarawax SX70S does not dissolve in water and has a melting point in the range of 70°C –72 °C. Being a gas-to-liquid (GTL) product, Shell GTL Sarawax SX70S contains zero sulphur and is virtually free from nitrogen, aromatics and heavy metals. Shell GTL Sarawax SX70S complies with the requirements of 21 Code of Federal Regulations: Parts 172.886 (purity compliance), 172.888 (b, c & d compliance), 175.105 (adhesives), 175.250 (coatings), 175.300 (coatings), 176.170 (paperboard), 176.180 (paperboard), 177.1200 (cellophane), 177.1210 (sealing), 177.1390 (laminate), 178.3710 (purity compliance) and 178.3720 (b, c & d compliance per 172.888).
